No T-Paw; Could it be Romney?

The choking silence from the short-listers in the McCain VP hunt has now been broken. Tim Pawlenty has announced that he will “not be in Dayton” where John McCain is scheduled to make his first campaign appearance with his running mate today. This leaves Romney and Lieberman (we think) in the race. Since the Lieberman speculation has died down recently (and polls have shown his selection would hurt McCain) it seems the pick is likely to be Mitt Romney. McCain has a better rapport with Lieberman and would probably rather pick him though, so Romney’s selection is not completely a given. We should know the final verdict fairly soon. Stay tuned!
